As the ultra-fast 1/10 Nitro Touring Cars continue to evolve with new technologies, an ever greater demand is placed on the race body shells in order to keep these machines planted on the track and as drivable as possible in a variety of conditions. In preparation for the 2014 IFMAR Worlds in Bangkok, PROTOform has pulled out all the stops in making the all-new VRS-N our most advanced 200mm race body to date.

Implementing some never-before-seen-in-R/C air management concepts inspired by full-scale Touring Cars from the STCC and SCCA World Challenge, the VRS-N race body is designed to slot in between the handling characteristics of the IFMAR World Title-Winning P37-N and the game-changing SRS-N that's been used in Title-Winning efforts in ROAR, EFRA and ENS competition. It features a low profile up front and strategically placed airflow conditioners for maximum aero efficiency.

The VRS-N meets all 200mm Global Body Spec rules and is available in high-quality light weight (.025”) or regular weight (.030”) genuine Lexan®. Included with the body are window masks, decals, oversized nylon wing hardware and paint-then-peel overspray film.

Please note: All bodies are sold in crystal clear lexan® and are painted for advertising purposes only.

Merci d'avance! :faill: :buggyred:

Overview

In the two years since it made its mark at the 2008 World Championship, the prototype MP9 Kyosho International has forged the cutting edge of performance technology with the latest version 2. Tested and proven at numerous international racing events, design upgrades have evolved multiple areas of the chassis platform to a new level. However perhaps the greatest innovation has been the dramatic reduction in cost, despite the significant upgrades and performance improvements. The chassis design focus is on efficient traction and is realized through short suspension arms and unique rear hubs that produce effective traction with light suspension stroke. Shock absorber design has changed from spacer setting adjustment to dial adjustment and incorporates the previously optional shock pistons with tapered holes that produce optimal piston speed and damping power over long running times. Other features include a new low-height body design with less front-end resistance that generates aerodynamics for a competitive edge and stable posture through the air. With the power of the most advanced racing performance firmly in your grasp, the innovative design of the new TKI 2 puts racing glory within reach.

:=):

The original reason for designing THE Car was to make a car fast enough for me to win big races. For naturally talented racers the car itself isn't such a big factor, but for racers like me, with low natural ability, the car has to be great, and suitable for my driving style, for me to win. Call me egoistic, but that's why I started designing it. I thought that if I can make a car, prove to whoever I am racing for, that it's better than what they have at that moment, maybe they would incorporate some of my ideas into their design, and I would become faster, and hopefully start winning bigger races.

Well, none of that worked out for various reasons, and I decided to start my own company and produce THE Car myself. I also realised that I needed to make sure that not only did this car need to be perfect for me, it also needed to suit all conditions, and all levels of drivers. It proved to be a lot harder to achieve than I thought. However, I believe I was able to create a car that everyone can be fast with, and which can be either super aggressive and fast, or very stable and easy to drive. Actually, it wasn't just me, many of my friends, some top pros, some average racers, and some beginners, all helped to create THE Car. In the next 6 columns, I will explain how we did it.
