Team Associated releases his new 1:10 200mm Pan Car, the Factory Team RC10R5 based on the
.

This is so a new contender in this category and it will be interesting to see those car evolving in race condition as all rules must be defined in term of motors and battery as others.

Team Associated Factory Team RC10R5

The new Factory Team RC10R5 is Team Associated’s entry into the fast-growing 1:10 scale World GT onroad racing class. With Team Associated’s twenty-five years of 1:12 and 1:10 scale onroad racing history, we are very excited to offer the Factory Team RC10R5 to this new emerging class!

Starting with the highly successful
platform, the designers in Area-51 built the bigger RC10R5 on a 2.5mm woven carbon fiber chassis that utilizes a pivot-ball link rear suspension that allows for independent adjustments for chassis roll, bump and alignment.

Having the ability to make these chassis adjustments independently gives the RC10R5 greater potential to get the best possible handling from the car and the track surface. While testing, the pivot ball-link chassis has proven to be more durable in high speed impacts and much better in bumpy track conditions.

The RC10R5 features new shocks that have a through-shaft design, making for equalized damping throughout the full stroke of the shock in both directions, without any unwanted rebound. The center shock tower has four mounting positions that split the spring rates for even finer adjustments. The new center shock also controls the chassis droop and can be adjusted on the car with a turnbuckle wrench, making it easier and quicker to get dialed in.

The RC10R5’s ‘Active Strut’ front end has been optimized, featuring symmetric components with adjustable caster and track width, as well as a new front axle with wheel nut. Factory Team blue aluminum servo mounts position the servo flat on the chassis for a lower center of gravity and include Ackermann adjustment spacers.

The foam front bumper helps protect body and chassis during impacts.

The RC10R5 features a wide rear pod optimized and balanced for brushless, woven carbon fiber top plate, and Factory Team blue aluminum machined motor mount and left-side bulkhead. The woven carbon fiber top plate attaches to the motor mount and leftside bulkhead at four points, making the RC10R5’s rear pod more rigid and durable.

The RC10R5 uses 90% of the same parts as the RC12R5, making it easier than ever for current 1:12 scale racers to jump into the fun of bigger cars with scale bodies that is the World GT class.

Et tu compte rouler avec des 4éléments ou LIPO?

j'aimerais savoir si certain roule en lipo avec ce chassis et comment on t'il fait pour caser le pack? L'adaptation a l'air moins facile que sur la CRC

RC10R5 LiPo conversion kit

The kit can accommodate different thicknesses of LiPo pack, and different configurations such as stick or saddle styles. NiMh cells can also be fitted. To retain the pack, cell tape is used through the original battery slots, and an extra loop can be placed through the chassis lightening holes.

To be honest, this should be a factory standard option. These cars are begging for more power than 4 cell. There's so much space on the chassis, a 6 cell pack or LiPo fits easily with enough space for plenty of other gear. On LiPos and a decent brushless power system the R5 is a rocket ship.

To fit this kit you will not need to modify the chassis or anything else in any way. You can return to the standard 4 cell configuration easily.

RC10R5 235mm front end conversion

Punch the car out to a full 235mm to run it as a true Pro-10. Bring back the days of 75mph finals and marshals in hockey gear!

The primary subframe is machined out of 3mm solid carbon. To increase the strength and stiffness the 2mm tie bar is re-profiled to better take the buckling loads. You still need to widen the rear track with offset hubs to bring the back end out to the same width.

Ce sont les même mais en plus gros.

Les pneus de 1/12 font 50mm de diametre et 40mm de largeur pour l'arrère, les avants ont une largeur de presque 30mm pour un diametre assez equivalent.

Les pneus de 1/10, du moins ceux des 235mm, ont un diametre de 60-65mm et une largeur supplémentaire de 10-15mm à l'avant voir 20-25mm à l'arrière (mesure approxiamtive). Pour les 200mm, les pneus sont peut être un peu plus étroits, les 190mm (la RC10L3T) avait des pneus un peu moins large de souvenir que les 235mm.

petite question R10/RC12 R5, asso ou un optionneur a-t-il sorti des amortisseurs (le principal et latéral) pour remplacer ceux d'origine qui ont la facheuse tendance a se deboiter...au niveau des bouchons?
