This weekend saw the second round of the 2014 oOple Off-road Open Series - oOoos - at the fantastic Mendip / Weston Super Mare facility in the South West of England.

After two days racing it was Ben Jemison in 4WD who took the TQ away from James Helliwell by virtue of his faster time with both drivers on the same points. Ben went on to take all three legs of the A to show some serious domination with his Associated B44.2

In the 2WD class Stuart Wood with the new Xray buggy was also showing everyone the way round as he dominated the class from start to finish. Taking 4 out of 5 rounds of qualifying and winning the first two legs for the victory. A great effort by Dave Belsten saw him take 2nd overall.

The RC10 class was fought out at the sharp end by Graham North and previous round winner James Mcfadyean who had a lot of misfortune this time out but still took the TQ. Graham however managed to turn the time from second and secure the victory from Damian Whittle 2nd and James Mcfadyean 3rd

The event was a great success and thanks to all the people who worked so hard to make it happen.

en Jemison dominated the Robinhood penultimate round of the 2014 oOple series and his pace was incredible start to finish. Ben took all 5 qualifiers in both 2WD and 4WD - and took the win in most legs of 2wd and 4wd a-finals, losing out only once to James Helliwell. Not a bad performance. The meeting had around 160 entries with guys coming from Scotland, Ireland, Denmark and France.

Thanks to everyone that came and enjoyed themselves, and a massive thank you to the organisers and track team for all their hard work.

The final round of the 2014 oOple Off-road Open Series - oOoos - took place this past weekend at Southport in the North West of England.

Stuart Wood leading the 2WD championship had a good start - taking three 1st in rounds during qualifying. Chris Evison and Simon Larkin took a round each.

Stu wasn't so composed in the finals however and it was Southport ace Chris Evison who took the first two legs for the victory from 2nd on the grid. Stu took 2nd whilst Anthony Steel took 3rd on the podium.

In the 4WD event the championship was already decided with the absent Ben Jemison taking the series. It was Stuart Wood taking another pole position for the weekend - this time converting it to win the opening two legs for the overall victory.

RC10 saw the ever-quick James Mcfadyean taking the pole position in qualifying and win in the finals - leap frogging series leader Graham North for the overall victory in this new controlled class.
