JConcepts B44 Aluminum Steering Bellcrank Assembly

2235-2_800px.jpg

Improving on a successful vehicle platform is one tough chore. JConcepts has taken on the difficult assignment in designing a heavy-duty, high response and low deflection steering assembly for the World Championship B44 vehicle. The design team has pulled another option out from under their sleeves with a genuine aluminum and carbon fiber steering system and hardware kit.

2235-1_2_800px.jpg

In the stock trim, the B44 steering swings an all molded, plastic bellcrank system as well as a plastic steering rack supported by bushings. The JConcepts design includes an aluminum driving and driven bellcrank and incorporates a flat panel 2.5mm material as the steering rack with 3 locations for ackermann adjustment. The new rack includes bearings for the system to glide on while long (.400”) JConcepts stainless steel ball studs provide the connection between the new system and steering tie-rod. The servo-saver less aluminum bellcranks allow for a more precise steering feel with increased steering through less defection. The carbon fiber rack pivots freely on the bearing supported system allowing the driver to feel less drag and quicker response.

New! Stiffer Arms for the B4, B44!

New B44 "Front" and B4 & B44 "Rear" HARD arms were designed for improved suspension stiffness that helps with handling and consistency on high-traction surfaces. This allows for better isolation of the suspension and more precise shock tuning.

Used by the team drivers at the ROAR Nationals, Hot Rod Shootout, and Surf City Classic.

salut :)

B44 gear diff conversions

I am doing the Team Durango gear diff conversions for the Team Associated B44 again.

A slight change on how they were done before. They now have a slot in the back of the gear and a groove on the shaft for an E-clip. They use a 2mm pin which is slightly larger than the kit pin. This is mainly for strength.

The cost is £20 for each shaft if you supply the Team associated input shaft and the Team Durango gear.

This is a pair of VTR Buggy Front Wheels. Pro-Line is introducing the next revolution in 1:10 Buggy Racing: VTR 2.4” Wheels! The VTR wheels introduce the horizontal mounting style common in 1:8 Nitro and brings it to the precision environment of the 1:10 racing scene, resulting in the lightest tire/wheel package ever produced. The tire mounting surface has been increased from 2.2” to 2.4” giving the tire a lower profile sidewall and ultimately more traction. Test drivers immediately noticed the improved agility and traction that the VTR wheels provide when combined with Pro-Line’s VTR Tires. The time has come for you to jump into the future of 1:10 Buggy racing with Pro-Line’s all new VTR 2.4” wheels and tires!

*NOTE: VTR 2.4” Style Wheels only work with VTR 2.4” Style Tires. Standard 2.2” Tires will NOT work with VTR Wheels.*

RC10B44.2 Factory Team

NOTE: This kit has been discontinued

3-Time I.F.M.A.R. World Champion and 4-Time R.O.A.R. National Champion!

The RC10B44 is a proven winning platform with two I.F.M.A.R. World Championships and four R.O.A.R. National titles under its belt! The B44.2 Factory Team kit takes the next step in drawing out every opportunity to maximize the 4WD buggy's potential.

The big news on the B44.2 is the new Factory Team 12mm 'Big Bore' hard-anodized shocks. The shocks feature threaded collars, machined aluminum shock caps with bleed screws, and are completed with TiN "Gold" 3mm shock shafts. The end result is a 12mm shock that delivers a plush and compliant ride that keeps the B44.2's tires planted on the ground.

4543-schelle_b44_convert-20.jpg

After a month of successful testing and racing with pre-production prototypes by the Schelle team, we officially announce the release of our B44.2 Shorty Conversion, now available for pre-order! The release date is set for August 15, 2014.

Schelle B44.2 Shorty Conversion

Upon the release of the Schelle B44.2 Aluminum Chassis in March 2014, many racers took notice that an upcoming shorty pack conversion was built into the Schelle design. Ready for release August 15, 2014, the Schelle B44.2 Shorty Conversion allows racers to convert their Schelle Aluminum Chassis B44.2 to a shorty pack 4wd configuration which sheds 80 grams of weight and turns the B44.2 into a lightweight track shredding machine. Schelle B44.2 Aluminum Chassis sold separately.

The Schelle shorty conversion design allows for (1) lighter weight by shedding approximately 80g of battery weight going from a saddle pack to a shorty. Careful thought went into the component placement on the chassis which gives the car almost identical weight bias to a saddle pack car, but now in a lighter and more agile package. The lighter weight also benefits jumping and landing, with the shocks carrying less weight on takeoffs and landings. (2) The shorty layout is more mass centralized, with heavier components closer to the center of the car which gives the feeling of faster and more smooth rotation through the turns.

This product will be a limited edition with only 2 production batches. The first batch of B44.2 Shorty Conversions are available for pre-order ($70.00) by using the link below or search for the keyword “shorty” at www.schelleracing.com.

Schelle B44.2 Shorty Conversion features/parts:

1. Set includes CNC blue anodized** aluminum center bulkhead and shorty pack motor mount.

2. Set includes: New front/rear carbon fiber upper decks for shorty pack configuration. Shorty pack battery tray, carbon fiber battery strap, and blue aluminum post with thumb screw.

3. Converts existing Schelle B44.2 to the latest 4wd trend mass centralized shorty chassis layout.

4. Some modification of existing battery tray and gearboxes is required.

5. Includes detail step-by-step instruction manual.

6. Upgradable to Associated front and rear gear diffs upon release.

7. Fits B44.2 with Schelle Aluminum Chassis only.

**Photos show un-anodized pre-production parts.

Note: Upon release, a B44.2 combo chassis/conversion will be offered.
