Xray XB4, un tt 1/10e electrique pour xray?

641 posts in this topic

A week ago it was Traxxas who hit the gossip headlines, this Friday its XRAY's turn to fill the void with rumours sweeping the RC interweb that they may be joining the rejuvenated 10th electric Offroad class. At present XRAY's offroad selection of racing vehicles is limited to 1/8th offroad not forgetting the M18 which came out a few years ago, perhaps 2012 is the year we'll see XRAY committing to 10th. We asked XRAY but they wouldn't comment. Remember, rumours are rumours...

En effet cette année la DHI est double : TT et Piste.

je cite: "EC 1/10 electric buggy Warm-up, Austria – Just after the week I returned to Austria for the 1/10 electric buggy warm-up for EC, and I spent some time in both 2WD and 4WD. There is not much to tell…yet. "

Tout est dans le "yet"... ;)

Exclusive first photo of XRAY 1/10 4WD Buggy

A bit of a World Exclusive with the first published photo of XRAY's eagerly awaited 1/10 4WD buggy, after posting about lead XRAY designer Juraj Hudy's attendance at the Euros and smart tactics to avoid attention we managed to get our hands on the photo below. Its immediately clear that from the car looks production-ready judging by the parts we can see. The front end has quite an 1/8th buggy look about it, especially the gearbox - other than that we'll have to wait until more details or photos of the insides surface.

As we wrote yesterday our insiders got a quick look at the car; with an aluminium chassis, and an internal layout similar to that of the AE B44 buggy. The gearboxes look quite big, potentially suggesting an option of gear diffs as well as ball diffs, the car also has a carbon fibre top deck, incorporating some of the flex technology seen on other XRAY cars.

From the two exterior photos we've seen, its clear that XRAY have based many of the features of their 10th scale on it's larger 8th scale cousin - an area where XRAY have had much success, and immediate results with the release of the XB9 earlier this year. Its clear that XRAY have designed the front end with kick up, which should help handling on European tracks which are not usually as smooth as some of the American ones. The body Juraj is using appears to be a Yokomo one and looking very closely on the left side of the car (right in the photo), you'll notice a very small HUDY logo - this may be a servo horn indicating a laydown position. As mentioned before though, the package looks well thought out, and the lack of visible prototype parts all hint towards a production-ready project.

Pour le moment pas vraiement d'information.

Ressemble à B44 avec chassi alu et transmision par cardans.

Pour le reste faut attendre du teasing, mais l'objectif doivent etre les world au Us.
