XRAY is excited to release the next evolution of the XII, the all-new XRAY 1/12 pan car platform: the X12. Direct feedback from factory team drivers, as well as customers from around the world, allowed the XRAY factory to turn a concept into reality… this is what we do best at XRAY. New battery placement means better car balance and weight transfer, and stiffer chassis material and more robust suspension material creates a car that is significantly easier to drive. By rethinking and then creating a completely new geometry where we elongate the wheelbase and widen the front track-width, we created a car that works exceptionally well for beginners, highly-skilled drivers, and everyone in between. And to make a car even easier to work on, we replaced the side shock with newly-designed side tube lateral dampers. Lowered rear bulkheads and an improved rear axle system allow the use of super-small tires while providing a super-low center of gravity. And much more.

Say goodbye to XII... say hello to the all-new X12.

All-new X12 specs:

Chassis:

• new battery position placement (horizontal) for better car balance and weight transfer

• new harder chassis material to make the car easier and more stable for high bite tracks

• longer chassis for greater wheelbase for better stability

• holes for suspension mounting are wider which create wider width to make car easier to drive

• platform designed and optimized for LiPO batteries and brushless motors

Rear bulkheads:

• lowered rear bulkheads to allow the rear axle to move lower which allows to use smaller tire diameter and allows to move lower the weight

Rear axle:

• new system of steel part mounting into the graphite tube makes the rear axle more durable

Front suspension:

• lower, upper arms and steering blocks made from harder material to make the car easier to drive and more forgiving mainly on high bite tracks

• plastic balls for king pin are used for smoother steering

Side tubes

• side tubes replace side shock for smoother and more consistent operation

Side springs:

• are placed directly to chassis for smoother and better movements

Center Shock:

• the shock shaft is extended which makes the center shock longer for better dampening

Servo saver:

• new 4 spring servo saver makes the car more consistent and easier to drive. Makes the car steer more precise

Servo positions:

• two servo positions for allowing to perfectly balance the weight transfer

Montage et premier roulage effectues.

Au niveau du montage rien à dire, très bonne qualité et explications au top. de préférence mettre le servo dans la position droite pour un meilleur équilibre du chassis. je n ai pas cyanolise les bords, juste fait un chanfrein au papier de verre ( gros grain puis petit grain pour finition). j ai aussi rajouté le pare-choc en mousse de la r5.

niveau roulage: c est une voiture très délicate de boîte et très vive ( dû à ses amortissements assez souple) . j ai donc passé les ressorts rouge crc latéraux et ça à desuite beaucoup mieu marché . c est la seule Modif que j ai faite sur les amortissements. j ai beaucoup cherché un bon set-up pneu et je suis tombé sur du purple à l avant et dû 30 shore a l arrière. la voiture est plaisante à rouler et efficace, reste plus qu a affiner le set-up et ça peut aller très vite. là carro est une black art ba004.

XRAY confirms and announces that the current 1/12 and 1/10 pan cars, the X12 and X10, will remain unchanged for the winter season 2012-2013.

Martin Hudy, X12 designer: "We have been constantly working on further improvements of all the cars in our line up and testing all the time some new ideas or prototypes. The pan car racing category has been for some time at the maturity of the stage of development and all the changes to new cars are usually very minor. With the current high performance of our both X12 and X10 we have decided to keep these two cars without any changes for this coming winter season but of course will continue to further collect the feedback and comments from the team and customers and will continue on the next improvements of these cars."

OK si je resume Xray x12 + 12T simple brushed + NiMH en 4,8V je suppose.

J dirais de commencer dans les 40mm puis d' augmenter comme dab en controlant bien la T°.

Mais comme a chaque fois le rapport est très variable suivant la piste et les brushed c'est un peut loin pour moi.

En esperant t avoir aider.

Diggity Designs DX12 - Transverse Chassis Conversion Kit For The Xray X12

This conversion will alow the racer to run the X12 in transverse battery configuration. Pushes the shock forward by .250" and has a 3mm narrower front end. This layout is best used in spec racing classes (i.e. 17.5 and 13.5) but will work well in mod classes as well. Includes 2.5mm Chassis, 2.5mm Upper Pod Plate, 3mm Tweak Plate, O-Ring and Long Ball Cup for Shock.

Side springs for X12’14. The new side springs and spring caps feature a new straight design comparing to the previously used conical shape, to improve side traction and improve the handling of the car. The straight side springs have more consistent and smoother compression which results in a smoother out-of-corner exit as well as helping to prevent traction rolling. Set of 2.

Hello,

Je viens de me commander une X12 2015 pour l'hiver. Le but est de m'affûter les doigts pour ma prochaine saison de TT 2015.

C'est tout nouveau pour moi, l'expérience débutera au MRCC dans quelques jours dès son ouverture !

Remarks – British National Champion Olly Jefferies is used to running his X12 on high grip surfaces back in the UK and so has had to adapt the setup of his new 2015 Xray for the low grip conditions. The changes include using the centre shock extension and a stiffer centre spring, stiffer side tubes and giving the car more tube droop. With the conditions on track changing every run, Olly says he has to continually fine tune the car prior to going out for each run.
